FDA May Be Forced to Rethink Decision On BPA Safety

The FDA’s position that bisphenol A (BPA) is safe is in question after a science advisory board to the administration on Friday endorsed a report that concluded the FDA’s August pronouncement of BPA’s safety was flawed, ASI reports.
The advisory board, made up of outside experts, concluded that the FDA was wrong to base its statement on studies paid for by stakeholders.

Fitness center hosts weight-loss challenge

A faith-based fitness center is hoping to recruit hundreds
of people to join its 3,000-Pound Community Weight Loss
Challenge, a three-month weight-loss and health-improvement
effort that kicks off next week.

Gov. Perry issues fitness challenge to 49 states

AUSTIN — The nation’s governors already have a plate full of challenges to deal with in these troubled economic times, but Gov. Rick Perry last week delivered one more: Get fit.
