A man who drew a lot of attention to himself by running away from police was arrested Tuesday for investigation of drug possession.

MARTINEZ, Calif.—A California Highway Patrol officer has been hospitalized after his car flipped over near Martinez as he tried to assist another officer involved in a chase.
Authorities say the crash took place around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when the officer’s patrol car ran off State Route 4.
