— Army medical officials have spoken with nearly 300 patients at risk of developing blood-borne illnesses, including hepatitis and HIV, because of improper insulin injections at a West Texas army hospital.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A second teenager from outside Nebraska has been left at an Omaha hospital under the state’s unique safe-haven law, apparently after his parent flew to the city specifically to abandon him, state officials said Monday.
