Women's health needs discussed at meeting

Female suicide bomber kills 3 at Iraq hospital

Adult Fast-Food Diets Tied to Too Much TV as Teen

The connection? Too much time spent watching ads for fast food restaurants, snacks and other unhealthy food choices, University of Minnesota researchers say.
“Television watching impacts diet choices adolescents make five years later,” said lead researcher Daheia Barr-Anderson, an assistant professor of kinesiology.
Barr-Anderson also speculates that eating while watching TV makes children more likely to consume the foods they see advertised.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer Seibel
Newsom will promote a charity event this morning benefiting the city’s
fitness initiative.
The program, “Shape Up San Francisco,” promotes healthy eating and
physical activity.
All day Tuesday, seven local Crunch fitness clubs will have
trainers offer guests personal training sessions for $30 or $50, with
