MORRISTOWN — The American Diabetes Association will hold Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes in Morristown on Sunday.
The walk will take place at the Verizon Wireless Campus at 100 Southgate Parkway. The newly improved course will allow walkers to choose from two routes, according to organizers. Check-in begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

ANAHEIM, Calif.—Authorities say Anaheim police shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store during a traffic stop.
Police Sgt. Rick Martinez says an officer pulled over the man in his early 40s driving a gray Toyota at about 12:10 a.m. Thursday, and a second officer quickly showed up for backup. Martinez says 12 minutes later the officers reported they had been involved in a shooting.

MASSACHUSETTS — A new report suggests the Bay State’s medical workforce is suffering from a doctor shortage. The Massachusetts Medical Society released the report which says this doctor shortage is actually part of a 7 year trend in the state which in turn makes it harder for people to get the healthcare they need.

Two more teenagers have been abandoned at hospitals under the state’s safe-haven law, bringing the number of children dropped off to 26 since July, the authorities said. A 16-year-old girl was left at Midlands Hospital in Papillion on Sunday afternoon, and a 16-year-old boy was abandoned at Children’s Hospital in Omaha late Sunday, according to the State Department of Health and Human Services.
