JAPANESE people seem to have gone bananas over bananas. So much so that there is a shortage of the fruit in the country.
Madam Fumiko Satake, a 29-year-old Tokyo wife, picked up one bunch of green bananas at a supermarket in downtown Tokyo – not because she preferred unripe bananas, but because that was all she could get her hands on.
'I came to the store early today so that I could get bananas,' Madam Satake told ABC News.

Police: 911 caller was dealing drugs

CLEVELAND, Feb. 3 (UPI) — Police in Cleveland said a man who dialed 911 wound up in jail after he allegedly made a drug deal while the dispatcher was listening.
Investigators said the man dialed the emergency number at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday and hung up after telling a dispatcher that two men with guns were watching him near the intersection of West 44th and Clark Avenue, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Tuesday.
