Turkey trotters step into fitness today with 5K run/walk

OCEANSIDE

While the aromas of baking pies and roasting turkeys might signal the start of a Thanksgiving Day celebration, the third annual Oceanside Turkey Trot will offer a more healthful alternative to the traditional feeding frenzy.

With coach in hospital, Moose win sixth straight

You wouldn’t blame the Manitoba Moose if their focus was elsewhere yesterday.
Before yesterday’s game against the Rockford IceHogs, Moose head coach Scott Arniel unveiled that Moose assistant coach Jay Wells was taken to an Illinois hospital for an angioplasty to unblock a closed valve near his heart.
The good news was that the surgery was successful and Wells is expected to make a full recovery, with the help of some rest and medication.
