A Benson man, confronted by police, tried to swallow a bag of drugs to avoid a felony charge, according to police.
Kelly Wilson Parrish, 40, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.
A team of Benson Police officers went to the Days Inn to follow up on a tip that Mr. Parrish may have been manufacturing drugs in a hotel room.
