Dalai Lama to undergo medical checkup

NEW DELHI (AP) — The Dalai Lama will undergo a second medical checkup in as many months while he recovers from exhaustion, a spokesman for the Tibetan spiritual leader said Monday.
The 73-year-old Dalai Lama leader is scheduled to arrive in the Indian capital later Monday from Dharmsala, a north Indian hill town where he set up his headquarters after fleeing Tibet in 1959 following a failed uprising against Chinese rule.

Health Ministry To Set Up 10 More Labs To Conduct Melamine Test In

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 (Bernama) — The Health Ministry is setting up more laboratories, which will be equipped with modern and sophisticated equipment, to carry out test for melamine in food products, its Minister, Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said.
He said currently, there were only four laboratories for the purpose and that efforts would be made to set up 10 more.
