To be honest, the $800-plus billion economic stimulus package being debated by Congress has stimulated plenty in me.
Dread. Anxiety. And yes, fear itself.
I mean, $800 billion, or maybe $900 billion? Why not make it an even trillion? It’s not like we actually have the money anyway. (And no, it’s not true that once President Barack Obama’s Cabinet nominees pay their taxes, we’ll have it covered.)

With war's remnants, Gaza hospital becomes gallery
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Photos dangled from the charred ceiling, paintings decorated soot-stained walls. Red shards from the shattered roof lined pathways cleared through broken glass.

They said Veeraiah Bulliah Chedalavada was in serious condition at the Washington Hospital Center.
An employee of the Prince George’s County fire and emergency medical services departmnt told Montgomery County police yesterday evening that the missing man matched the description of a man taken to the Washington Hospital Center Thursday after being struck.

DANBURY — Two men are being held on $150,000 bond after they were charged Friday for dealing cocaine and crack cocaine from a silver pickup truck, according to police.
The Special Investigations Division of the police department received information that two men were selling drugs from a vehicle.

One key post the White House has yet to fill is that of FDA commissioner. It’s a tough one. Over the past 12 years, the Food and Drug Administration has had a permanent commissioner less than half the time.
