FDA Scientists Accuse Agency Officials of Misconduct

and approving for sale unsafe or ineffective medical devices, the scientists have written in a letter to Congress.

Fitness center opens

Police: Va. men ditched drugs while fleeing officers

The two Virginia men who took off from a traffic stop Monday with two officers hanging onto their car tossed about a pound of marijuana – and maybe a gun – as they fled, police said.
Yesterday, police combed the area along I-95 in Delaware County but could not locate a weapon. They had found the drugs about 100 yards from where they had stopped the car.

Rodale to shed 111 jobs

EMMAUS | Rodale Inc. is shedding about 10 percent of its
work force in an effort to cut costs amid the economic
downturn.
The Emmaus-based publisher said Monday it is reducing 111
positions companywide, including 73 at its Lehigh County
headquarters. About 700 Rodale employees work in the Lehigh
Valley.
