YWCA closes pool, fitness classes in effort to survive
The YWCA of Bay County will all but close its doors this
month after deciding to drastically reduce services in an

The UK is to give South Africa’s new Health Minister Barbara Hogan £15m to help combat Aids in the country.
Ms Hogan was appointed health minister in September to help shake up a health service in crisis.
South Africa has one of the most severe HIV/Aids epidemics in the world, with 800 people a day dying a day from Aids-related disease.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Police searched garbage dumps in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Tuesday for the body of a baby apparently thrown out with the trash at a Jersey City hospital sometime in the past two weeks.
“It’s like they treated my son like he’s nothing,” said Kalynn Moore, the 26-year-old mother. “It hurts so bad.”

Reserve Daleville police patrolman Neil Dowd remained in fair condition at Ball Memorial Hospital on Sunday, after having been injured in a Friday night collision.
Dowd suffered a dislocated ankle, a fractured wrist and minor abrasions and lacerations, according to Daleville town Marshal James King.
