Manhattan's Mount Sinai Hospital on fire

Janet Montero, manager at the nearby One Fish, Two Fish restaurant on the
, said flames are shooting from what appears to be The Mount Sinai Hospital’s 10th and 11th floors.

Concord woman who crashed car into pool in stable condition

A Concord woman who had to be revived after she crashed her car through a fence and into a backyard swimming pool in Benicia was in stable condition at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo on Monday afternoon, hospital spokesman Jim Caroompas said.
The victim, 43-year-old Yvonne Campbell, of Concord, was also placed under arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.

A children’s health insurance program in which about 900 Kern County children enroll each month may stop taking on more kids because of state budget woes.

KLMK wins contract to oversee Georgia hospital construction
