More than one million Pennsylvanians, or 8.2 percent of the population, lack health insurance, according to state survey released today.
The survey, conducted by the state Insurance Department, shows a 7.5 increase over 2004, but insurance commissioner Joel Ario said the numbers are likely much higher now considering the employment situation has recently deteriorated.

People who eat wild game killed with lead bullets tend to have higher levels of lead in their blood than people who don’t, according to a first-of-its-kind study of 738 North Dakotans.
