About 500 University of Nebraska students participated in a 12-hour dance marathon in Lincoln Friday night into Saturday morning that raised more than $35,000 for Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha.
The event ran from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds will help the hospital’s Child-Life Program and Rainbow House.

: A Cincinnati teen is recovering at a Detroit hospital after getting an unexpected zap from a manhole cover in Downtown Detroit.
The 17-year-old was leaving Saturday night’s Red Wings game and stepped on a manhole cover in front of the Detroit-Windsor tunnel’s duty free shop when he reportedly got a shock.

SWAT teams swept across Denver Tuesday seizing drugs, weapons and arresting more than a half-dozen men police said are members of a notorious gang.
The bust focused on a notoriously violent gang known as MS-13. The FBI said MS-13 operates with a mob mentality, dealing drugs and retaliating against anyone who crosses them.
