Loma Linda Heart and Surgical Hospital opens its doors to expand

REDLANDS – The Loma Linda University Heart & Surgical Hospital saw its first two surgical patients this morning.

Plainfield math-a-thon a hospital fundraiser

PLAINFIELD — Timber Ridge Middle School math students will participate in a math-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
From today through Jan. 30, students will complete a series of math problems and puzzles in a “Funbook” that will be distributed according to grade level. Once the students finish the problems and puzzles, they receive a certificate of completion.

Medical Marijuana Bill Returns to…

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A bill by Sen. Steve Murphy again seeks to legitimize medical marijuana for use by seriously ill patients.
The bill by Murphy, DFL-Red Wing, will get its first hearing of the session in a Senate health panel on Wednesday.
The bill would allow patients suffering from cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease and other dehabilitating conditions to smoke marijuana to deal with pain and other symptoms.
