PALM SPRINGS, Calif.—Medical marijuana dispensaries will now be allowed to operate legally in Palm Springs.
The City Council voted 3-1 on Wednesday to permit two pot cooperatives. Palm Springs is the first city in Riverside County to allow medical marijuana dispensaries.
The ordinance means some of the estimated seven dispensaries now operating illegally in the city must close down.
