FDA To Crack Down On Prescription Pain Killer Abuse

Long collapses, taken to hospital

Raleigh, N.C. —
Former state Insurance Commissioner Jim Long was taken to Rex Hospital Wednesday afternoon after he suffered a stroke at the Legislative Office Building.
Long was outside the office of state Rep. Cary Allred, R-Alamance, when he collapsed. Legislative assistant Nancy Garriss said she saw Long writing on top of a file cabinet when he fell “like a tree” to the floor.

Possible construction delay for NJ hospital

The state’s Health Care Facilities Financing Authority will

Hospital to Pay $6.5M For Boy's Brain Injury

An Aurora family has been awarded a $6.5 million settlement in connection with a brain injury to their son caused by alleged negligence.

Report: Michigan slides in health insurance coverage

Michigan, longtime home of some of the best health benefits in the nation, has fallen below the national average of companies offering health insurance, a new report to be released today finds.
