Hospital in Lanka's fighting zone is empty: UN

New York (PTI): A hospital in the zone of fighting between the Government and rebel forces in north-eastern Sri Lanka, which has been the scene of heavy shelling and aerial bombardment for several days, is now empty, the United Nations has reported.
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said bombings took place for several hours on Tuesday and the hospital was empty yesterday morning after intense military operations overnight.

Halifax pharmacy tech charged with stealing drugs from Pembroke CVS

State Police have charged a CVS pharmacy technician with stealing more than $9,000 worth of drugs from the Pembroke store during a three-year period.
Cheryl L. Pascarelli, 45, of 10 Lydon Lane, Halifax, pleaded innocent to larceny of drugs on Wednesday in Plymouth District Court.

Merck to Buy Insmed Candidates

Insmed agreed to sell its pipeline of “biosimilars,” or “follow-on biologic drugs” — drugs that are attempted copies of biotech drugs, which are made using living cells.
