WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The sole source of the U.S. salmonella outbreak involving contaminated peanut butter appears to be the Peanut Corp of America’s Blakely, Georgia processing facility, federal officials said on Wednesday.
More than 125 products including cookies, crackers, ice cream and even some pet food have been recalled in connection with the outbreak, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

North Dakota’s Health Department is reporting 245 confirmed cases of the flu this week. It’s 95 more than last week.
Health officials say 27 counties report flu activity. Cass County has 61 cases, followed by Burleigh County with 34, Ward County with 24, Grand Forks County 23 and Morton County with 15.

he flu may be making a slow start in some states this brutally cold winter, but Bay State health officials say the bug isn’t being squashed, especially since the number of reported cases has more than doubled since 2007.
According to statistics provided by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, 841 positive cases of flu were reported from 2007 to 2008, a sharp increase from the 325 reported cases from 2006 to 2007.
