A Pennsylvania man who was injured during a crane accident in Annapolis Thursday was stable in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center today, according to the hospital.

A traffic accident in Philippi sent three people to the hospital, the West Virginia State Police says.
A pickup truck was traveling west on Chestnut Ridge Road, when it hit a patch of black ice, according to troopers.
The driver of the truck is said to have lost control of the truck and gone over an embankment before crashing into a house.

— Excessive speeding was likely the cause of a fiery collision that killed five people and injured two others, authorities said.
The driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was driving on a state highway in Magnolia at “an extremely high rate of speed” when it collided with a Toyota van Saturday, authorities said.

One person was transported to Strong Hospital after a two-car accident on 390 in Avon. The accident happened just before 9 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the Marshall Road overpass.

BOSTON (AP) — Boston Celtic forward Glen Davis was injured in an automobile accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike Sunday as he drove to the TD Banknorth Garden for the game against the New York Knicks.
