Family reaction affects health of gay youth

A recent study conducted by researchers at San Francisco State University shows that the reaction of the family to the gay relations of a youth affects his mental health. It was found that the youth who got a negative reaction from their family members were more prone to drugs, depression and suicide.
According to the researchers, a bit of support and acceptance from the family could help in restoring the mental health of the homosexuals.

Insulin scare affects hundreds at W. Texas army hospital

EL PASO — Army medical officials have spoken with nearly 300 patients at risk of developing blood-borne illnesses, including hepatitis and HIV, because of improper insulin injections at a West Texas army hospital.

Fish-eating moms' diet affects kids, study shows

Children of mothers who ate more than two servings of fish per week had higher scores than kids of non-fish-eating moms, even when other influences of early childhood development, such as birth weight and breast-feeding duration, were factored out. Strike affects medical colleges in Kerala
