Employees of the new American Family Fitness center in Short Pump received an unwelcome surprise when they showed up for work Saturday morning.
Rainwater that accumulated on the building’s roof leaked onto the quarter-mile track some time after the fitness center closed Friday night, assistant manager Kyle Moneymaker said.
The track will remain closed until it dries and workers can check for mold.

Norwegian American Hospital on Chicago’s West Side is eliminating 42 jobs, or nearly 6 percent of its 725-member workforce, amid the economic downturn, the hospital said.
