Most of the patients who come to Maricopa County’s newest health care clinic are seeing a doctor for the very first time.
This lack of medical treatment is why the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic is now offering services through the Women’s Care Center in the Comprehensive Health Care Center building of the Maricopa Integrated Health Services.

Teenage birth rates in Arizona and across the country jumped sharply in 2006, possibly indicating that a 14-year decline in babies born to young women is coming to an end.
Figures released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also showed that Arizona’s teen birth rate remains well above the national average. The state’s rate of 62 births per 1,000 female teenagers age 15-19 was the fifth-highest in the nation.
