Authorities to provide more medical resources for remote villages

Mailed drugs not unusual, authorities say

PHARR — Local authorities were none too surprised to learn this week that a 30-pound brick of marijuana had been mistakenly delivered to a Denton man direct from the Rio Grande Valley.
The package – addressed to a nonexistent Dallas location – originated from the UPS shipping outlet at 120 E. Highway 83 in Pharr and traveled through McAllen, Austin, Mesquite and Dallas before its mistaken delivery Monday, Denton police spokesman Ryan Grelle said.
