FDA to List Drugs Being Investigated

The FDA will name the drug and the nature of the “adverse events” but will not describe their seriousness or the number of complaints received, officials said yesterday. Being on the list does not mean the drug is unsafe, only that the FDA is looking into that possibility.

Driver accused of DWI, being impaired by drugs
An East Amherst man who was convicted of driving while intoxicated in 1999 was arrested for DWI again early Thursday, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly before 1:30 a. m., authorities were alerted that a vehicle was drifting and driving on the wrong side of Transit Road, Sgt. Dave Zamorek said.

NC State's Yow being treated in hospital

North Carolina State women's coach Kay Yow is continuing her cancer treatments in ahospital.
School spokesman Mark Kimmel said the Hall of Fame coach has been in the hospital since last week. She had been resting at home, but her oncologist — Dr. Mark Graham — advised her to enter thehospital.
“Dr. Graham thought it was in her best interest to go there and get the care she needs,” Kimmelsaid.
