Recession could work wonders for British diet

Rising food prices and looming recession could work wonders for the British
diet if people are more “canny” about where they shop and what they cook,
according to leading food writers.
Joanna Blythman, author of Bad Food Britain, and the food writer Rose Prince,
said British families felt “ripped off” by supermarket prices, and were
turning away from processed and convenience foods in favour of home-cooked
meals.
