Officer Hurt During Chase Released From Hospital

HOUSTON – The Houston police officer who was driving the patrol car that was rammed during a chase Monday is out of the hospital, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said the chase started on Hercules at Gemini shortly after 4 p.m. and moved to the Gulf Freeway. Investigators said Harris County Precinct 8 deputies were checking out an alleged assault when a man believed to be involved took off.

Dallas police officer injured in crash during high-speed chase

A Dallas police officer is being treated at Baylor University Medical Center for leg injuries after his squad car crashed into a tree during a high-speed chase that ended in Pleasant Grove.
The officer’s name was not immediately released, but his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening, said Dallas police spokesman Gerardo Monreal.

Inmate Who Escaped From Local Hospital Shoots Self After Chase

FAWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. –
An Armstrong County Jail inmate who escaped when he stole a guard’s gun at a hospital emergency room shot himself in the head following a police chase.
Kenny Nulph, 44, escaped from Armstrong Memorial Hospital in Kittanning shortly after midnight.

Man arrested in chase had drugs, Friendswood PD says

A man was arrested after he led Friendswood Police on a high-speed chase early Monday during which he dumped a large bag containing drugs and narcotics —including Xanax, methamphetamine and Ecstasy—out of his car, authorities said.
