Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. government and the richest
charity are offering bounties to a new wave of scientists to
wipe out HIV, the virus that causes AIDS and is one of the
world’s biggest killers.
Frustrated by one failure after another, the U.S. is asking

He doesn’t have a medical degree or wear a smart-looking white coat, but Dr. Dog has been known to cure more than one case of the blues.
A border collie-shepherd mix, Dante is a therapy dog at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara and is so good at what he does that people think of him as being on staff. He and his handler, Susie Levin, make rounds three times a week and will visit patients by appointment.
Getting past the front lobby is the hard part. Read the rest of this entry »
It came to Zeblon Gwala in a dream. The Zulu former long-distance lorry driver was visited by his dead grandfather and told to gather herbs and roots from across Africa. Then the voice in his head told him to boil them into two formulas – one to boost the immune system, the other to suppress the HIV.
Gwala’s first patient was his sister. “She was HIV-positive in the last stage, because the skin was peeling off, and then I’ve been told I must cook Read the rest of this entry »

These job losses spell disaster for our health. Millions of Read the rest of this entry »
Back in 2000, Newbold and Memorial’s Vice
President of Marketing, Diane Stover, searched for innovation models
within health care and found none. “There was
a time, a change would come from Medicare or another funding source and
our leadership team would react rather than stick to a plan,”
Stover stated. “We launched this initiative to
spark positive changes and increase control of our destiny.” Read the rest of this entry »

DARREN GERSH: The economic crisis and the housing meltdown — those two
issues alone could occupy an entire administration. But the Obama team
plans to tackle another, the health care crisis. In less than a decade, the
country will be spending two out of every $10 we make on health care. The
high price tag could jeopardize the new president’s plan to expand health
care coverage to all Americans. As Dana Bate Read the rest of this entry »

Nearly a year ago our community learned of financial problems at the county-owned Natchez Regional Medical Center.

Worries and rumors swirled about the hospital’s fate. Read the rest of this entry »

Residents of Galveston, Texas, should buy in supplies before Hurricane Ike moves into the Gulf of Mexico, the city's mayor urged tonight. The storm was downgraded after it hit Cuba but is expected to strengthen on its way toward the United States. A hurricane watch for the Florida Keys has been lifted, but the storm could still hit anywhere from Louisiana to Mexico.
(NaturalNews) This article is about how you can prevent and cure cancer with a bottle of flax oil and a carton of cottage cheese. As incredible as this may seem, it is a truth that has been well proven and documented. It is also a truth that has been vigorously suppressed because the cancer industry is big business at its worst.
You or someone you love may have been diagnosed with cancer, and you are very much afraid. You have been taught by the Read the rest of this entry »
