Dance Marathon Benefits Children's Hospital

About 500 University of Nebraska students participated in a 12-hour dance marathon in Lincoln Friday night into Saturday morning that raised more than $35,000 for Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha.
The event ran from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds will help the hospital’s Child-Life Program and Rainbow House.

'Day of Dance' a push for women's health

“Day of Dance” is presented by affiliate hospitals of the Spirit of Women Health Network in more than 55 cities nationwide.
Spirit of Women aims to educate women in a way that emphasizes total well-being of the body, mind and spirit, and affects all aspects of a woman’s life, including family, health and work.
The event is free to Spirit of Women members.

Mercy Health Center hosts women's Day of Dance for Health

Mercy Health Center will unite the region’s women with 70 other communities across the U.S. through the fifth annual national Spirit of Women Day of Dance for Health on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The event will combine the fun of dancing to different forms of music, such as ballroom dancing, rock ‘n’ roll, country-line, Zumba, clogging and even belly-dancing, with health screenings and consumer education on heart disease and other women’s health issues.

UNC students dance to support children's hospital

Zumba enthusiasts dance their way to fitness

LOXLEY, Ala. — When Lisa Rodrigue was a youngster in Houma, La., she loved to dance. She took dance lessons for years.
Until one day, she was singled out for a special project.
