The Rockingham County Department of Public Health will offer free flu vaccinations through the end of the month. The vaccinations are being offered in response to the recent widespread flu activity throughout the state.

with the higher numbers indicating more serious problems.
The health departments consider 4- and 5-point violations as
critical items requiring immediate action.
The lists are divided into those that scored 84 or lower
out of a possible 100 and those that scored 97 or higher out

GALION — The Galion Health Department has closed a restaurant because of repeated failed inspections and “recurrent critical violations” since 2005, according to a summary of health inspections.
The department closed M-R Family Restaurant, 741 Portland Way South, on Monday after an administrative hearing deemed it unsafe for patrons. The department also permanently revoked the food operating license of owner Nazif Qorri, a resident of Mansfield.

unveiled its new $13.5 million emergency department Wednesday, along with plans to change the way it admits and treats its ER patients.
