When Karen Mitchell was first diagnosed with breast cancer, she didn’t like the idea of a support group with strangers – she preferred talking to her mother about it.
But her mother hadn’t been through the experience, and after a while, Mitchell realized she could pull strength from the people who were going through the same thing at her chemotherapy appointments.

Hundreds attend free medical care event

More than 300 families have already flocked to Manual High School in Denver to take advantage of a range of free medical care sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.

Chocolate, wine event promotes women's heart health
