KENNEWICK, Wash.– Kennewick General Hospital is one step closer to a future expansion.
The hospital got its certificate of need approved from the state. Now the hospital can apply for a loan from the Federal Housing Administration for more funding.
KGH leaders plan to build a new facility on the 40 acres of land known as the Southridge campus. The hospital’s CEO says having a new facility will also help our local job market.

Expansion Of SCHIP Passes, Millions Of Kids Get Health Insurance

Northeast Georgia Medical Center isn’t the only local hospital that’s undergoing major changes.
Habersham Medical Center in Demorest is putting the finishing touches on a $38.6 million expansion that includes a dramatic new entrance, a 17-room emergency department and a 24-bed outpatient surgery center.
To match its new image, the hospital has dropped the word “county” from its name.

Plans to significantly expand one of Minnesota’s oldest hospitals have been put on the back burner until the economy improves.
Officials from Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater were expected to seek approval from the Stillwater City Council early this year for their 20-year expansion plan. Now the four-phase project has been postponed because of the economy.

A Stillwater hospital’s big plans are on hold until the economy improves.
Leaders of Lakeview have decided to wait until January or February to ask the city council to approve the first two phases of their long-term expansion plans.

Life Time Fitness’ expansion pulse may slow a little in 2009.
