Insmed selling Boulder facility to Merck

for $130 million, the company announced Thursday.
The transaction, once it’s completed, will transfer Richmond, Va.-based Insmed’s research and production facility in Boulder to Merck. The Boulder plant’s 80 employees will be offered jobs to continue their work under Merck’s ownership, Insmed said.
Insmed geared its Boulder plant over the past 18 months to produce alternate versions of established biotech drugs.

Woman’s Hospital halts construction of new facility

High interest rates and uncertainty in the bond market have forced Woman’s Hospital to halt construction of a new $350 million facility at Airline Highway and Pecue Lane, hospital officials said Monday.
Woman’s had planned to issue bonds to finance the new hospital and has been monitoring the bond market since November, said Stan Shelton, senior vice president and project manager.

Illness strikes health facility

State hospital to be replaced with updated $24 million facility
