LA JARA Conejos County residents are invited to come and find out their risk for heart disease at the Love Your Sweet Heart, Lower Your Risk for Heart Disease family health fair. The health fair is Saturday, Feb. 14 (Valentines Day) from 7 a.m.- 12 p.m. noon at the La Jara Elementary School.

Reserve Daleville police patrolman Neil Dowd remained in fair condition at Ball Memorial Hospital on Sunday, after having been injured in a Friday night collision.
Dowd suffered a dislocated ankle, a fractured wrist and minor abrasions and lacerations, according to Daleville town Marshal James King. The Bettendorf Life Fitness Center, 2222 Middle Road, will host its annual Wellness and Fitness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 27.
Trinity and Genesis Medical centers will have a variety of booths offering information and screenings, such as blood pressure, body composition and heart health. Other area wellness providers will provide information on chiropractic care, massage therapy, nutrition, healthy food alternatives, acupuncture and fitness.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Fruita is currently looking for health-field-related vendors to participate in its annual Sweetheart Health Fair Feb. 21.
Last year’s fair included vendors from the Mesa County Health Department, Family Health West, chiropractors, and alternative healing practitioners.
Health fair goers received free mini-massages from massage therapists, as well as free spinal exams by chiropractors. There was also a jazzercise demonstration.

The Delaware woman involved in the head-on crash Saturday that took the life of a Niagara Falls man was listed in fair condition Sunday in Erie County Medical Center.
Lois J. Broeker, 49, of Wilmington, was airlifted by Mercy Flight to ECMC after the crash, which happened at about 2:12 p. m. on the Lockport Road bridge in the Town of Niagara.
