TRENTON, N.J. – A Jersey City hospital has been fined more
than $20,000 for violating state procedures after the remains of a
stillborn baby were mistakenly thrown out with its trash several
weeks ago.
Christ Hospital was notified of the penalty in a Jan. 20 letter
from the state Department of Health and Senior Services.

NY county fined $12,000 after closet falls on nun
RAMAPO, N.Y. (AP) — A county just north of New York City has been fined $12,000 for unsafe conditions at one of its nursing homes after a closet fell on a nun and killed her.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) – A state judge has found a Billings businessman in contempt of court for helping people buy low-cost prescription drugs from Canada.

Bristol, Conn. — Connecticut regulators have disciplined Bristol Hospital after state inspections revealed various violations.

Builder fined $4,000 in collapse of Alcona Health Center
LINCOLN – A Northeast Michigan builder must pay $4,000 for what state safety inspectors call two “serious violations” related to the collapse of the partially complete Alcona Health Center last July.
