With the temperature hovering at 13 degrees early yesterday afternoon, it was a perfect time to build an ice skating rink.
And that is exactly what about two dozen volunteers did from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when they converted one of the tennis courts at Crompton Park, 55 Canton St., into a 115-by-55-foot skating rink.

STAMFORD — Family members and doctors for Charla Nash, the Stamford woman who was brutally mauled Monday by a 200-pound pet chimpanzee, thanked people Wednesday for supporting her and reported that she has made “some good, but small, progress.”
