City officials, community activists and the police chief gathered at the shooting scene – Northwest 14th Avenue and Northwest 71st Street – Saturday morning begging for witnesses to help identify the shooter, and to decry the rise in assault-weapons attacks.

2 dead, 7 injured in northwest Miami shooting
MIAMI (AP) — Two people were killed and seven injured during a shooting Friday night in a residential area in northwest Miami, authorities said.

2 dead, 7 injured in northwest Miami shooting
MIAMI (AP) — An assault rifle was used in a Friday night shooting in northwest Miami, killing two people and injuring seven, police said Saturday.
“We have someone out there that is armed, it is a dangerous situation,” police spokeswoman Kenia Alfonso said.
