Boyle Heights-Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center completed its two-day move into a new facility Saturday afternoon.
The last of the 400 patients were moved after 1 p.m., and the new hospital began accepting ambulance traffic after 3 p.m., said Pete Delgado, the hospital’s chief executive officer.

The community television station that serves Los Gatos, KCAT TV15, is moving to a new location so that Los Gatos High School can open up a fitness center.

CARSON CITY (AP) — A Carson City hospital has laid off 30 workers in a budget-cutting move spurred by the faltering economy.
Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare is providing severance for the employees.
Hospital spokeswoman Cheri Glockner says the organization has 1,232 employes and the 30 affected workers would be the first considered for rehiring when conditions improve. She says patient care would not be affected by the layoffs.

The worst thing that could have happened during Saturday’s practice patient move at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh was for nothing to go wrong during the transfer from the Oakland hospital to the new one in Lawrenceville.

Six of the workers injured when a pedestrian walkway under construction collapsed at the Atlanta Botanical Garden are being transferred to a hospital that specializes in rehabilitating severe spinal injuries.
