Staff from the Bundaberg Base Hospital will continue to give evidence on Friday to the Jayant Patel committal hearing in Brisbane.

Melbourne: Indian-origin doctor Jayant Patel, facing manslaughter charges in the deaths of 13 patients in Australia, had doctored his resume and concealed his history of alleged misconduct in the U.S. while applying for a job at a Brisbane hospital, a court was told on Monday.

A MAN died after Jayant Patel unnecessarily operated on him then left him, bleeding internally, to perform a five-hour elective operation on another patient.
Details of the death of Gerardus Kemps were related in Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday as Indian-trained Dr Patel, 58, appeared for the first day of his committal hearing on 14 charges, including manslaughter, grievous bodily harm and fraud.
