United States Olympic gold medallist swimmer Michael Phelps will not be charged for drugs use after a photograph, apparently showing him smoking a marijuana pipe at a party in South Carolina, was published by a British magazine. Police in South Carolina have decided to drop the case, claiming there is insufficient evidence to charge anyone.

Swimmer Michael Phelps probably won’t win an Emmy for his appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” He’ll have to console himself with the eight gold medals he won at last month’s Beijing Olympics.
