FDA Warns Against Taking Diet Pill With Undisclosed Drug

Miami, FL (AHN) – The Food and Drug Administration is warning people not to take the diet supplement marketed under the name Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 because it contains an undeclared drug that can increase heart rate and blood pressure.
The company that makes the supplement, Applied Lifescience Research Industries, from Oak View, Calif., recalled the product after an FDA analysis found the presence of the drug, sibutramine.

Falcons DT Jackson sues manufacturer of diet pill

Atlanta Falcons nose tackle Grady Jackson on Monday filed a class-action lawsuit against against the manufacturer of a diuretic that reportedly led to his four-game suspension from the NFL.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Jackson, who is appealing the league’s suspension, filed the suit in Superior Court of California against Nikki Harrell’s StarCaps diet pills.
