– A national men’s magazine has named St. Paul the No. 2 place in American for men, while a women’s magazine ranks Minneapolis No. 6 overall for women.
Men’s Health magazine ranked 100 cities based on 38 factors, including cancer rates, air quality and the number of gym memberships.
It ranked St. Paul 12th in fitness and 13th in quality of life for men, and 2nd overall. Minneapolis was No. 9 in health and 10th overall.

Memphis ranks near bottom for men’s, women’s health

Birth care ranks No. 1 for Colorado hospital stays

Care of newborn babies and mothers was the largest category accounting for stays in Colorado hospitals in 2007, according to figures compiled by the
(CHA).
A CHA report showed about 143,000 patients in Colorado hospitals were expectant or new mothers and babies receiving care for conditions related to childbirth and pregnancy.
Birth-related matters accounted for nearly 30 percent of all hospital stays in Colorado in 2007.

Seattle ranks in top 10 cities for men's health

of the 100 healthiest and unhealthiest cities in America for men by Men’s Health magazine.
It also received these rankings: fitness, 13; quality of life, 17; and health, 16.
The top three cities in the survey were Raleigh, N.C., San Jose, Calif., and Madison, Wis.
