Mercifully, there seems to be a diet-book truce. Authors appear to agree on what to eat: vegetables, fruits, lean protein, whole grains and beans — with the occasional indulgence. Each author may add or quibble about a certain food here or there, but each “system” is centered on the same healthy food. So this trio of books by scientists is refreshing because they delve more into the psychology and physiology of eating.

Read it: ‘Dr. Nieca Goldberg’s Complete Guide to Women’s Health’
Physician Nieca Goldberg has written a book that is supposed to offer everything women age 35 and beyond need to know about their health. She’s medical director of New York University’s Women’s Heart Program and has been described by some as a pioneer in women’s health.
In addition, she writes that she’s “happy to be a woman’s doctor who’s also a woman.”
