The hour Molly Will spends getting a massage each month is just about the best 60 minutes of the expectant mother’s month.
“It’s nice to have (my husband) rub my back at the end of the day,” but getting a professional massage helps alleviate tension and aches, said Will, 29. Her first baby is due March 5.

Taking vitamin A and E supplements does not lower your risk of cancer, according to the results of a large clinical trial involving nearly 15,000 men in the US.
Both vitamins are powerful antioxidants – substances that can tackle harmful byproducts of the body’s metabolism which can cause DNA damage and hence trigger cancer. However, the study shows that taking the vitamins in supplement form has no effect at all on cancer.

A women’s health night showed women how to detect breast cancer and offered free testing for sexually transmitted infections.
About 30 people attended the information session, which was part of the third annual Pink Week at Lehigh and was held in the Health and Wellness Center.

PROVO — The number of defendants declared incompentent to stand trial who may end up in jail while waiting for beds to open up in the state hospital has been reduced, state officials said.
The Provo hospital has 359 beds, with 100 of those dedicated to people who have been involved in a criminal court proceeding.

ORTHAMPTON – Cooley Dickinson Hospital says it will reduce staff as part of a restructuring plan to ensure its long-term financial viability.
The president and CEO of the Northampton hospital, Craig Melin, said in a statement Monday that the restructuring would include position eliminations along with shift changes, reassignments and other cost reduction initiatives.
