Wounded Clallam County deputy released from hospital

The Clallam County sheriff’s deputy who was wounded in a shootout with another man has been released from a Seattle hospital.
A nursing supervisor at Harborview Medical Center said 41-year-old Bill Cortani of Forks was released today.
She said the condition of 59-year-old Scott L. Davis, of Silverdale, has been upgraded from critical to serious.

A Hercules High football player was upgraded from fair to stable condition Sunday after sustaining a concussion Friday night, according to Hercules coach Gerald Montgomery.
