The Clallam County sheriff’s deputy who was wounded in a shootout with another man has been released from a Seattle hospital.
A nursing supervisor at Harborview Medical Center said 41-year-old Bill Cortani of Forks was released today.
She said the condition of 59-year-old Scott L. Davis, of Silverdale, has been upgraded from critical to serious.

Singer Natalie Cole was released from a New York hospital on Friday (October 3rd) and is back home recuperating in Los Angeles. The Grammy winner, who suffers from hepatitis C, was hospitalized September 12th.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (AFP) — Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jnr was released from a hospital on Sunday but remains doubtful for Monday’s National Football League game against the New York Giants.

A Hercules High football player was upgraded from fair to stable condition Sunday after sustaining a concussion Friday night, according to Hercules coach Gerald Montgomery.
Montgomery said he expects Dejon Lloyd, a senior running back and wide receiver, to be released from the hospital today. Montgomery said Lloyd was coherent and talking on Saturday night. He was held Sunday for precautionary measures.
