Authorities said that most of the injuries were minor but that one student, a 17-year-old male, suffered a head injury during a fall and was knocked unconscious. They said the youth was taken by ambulance to Howard University Hospital and regained consciousness on the way.

UNION COUNTY, Fla. – Four students in Union County were rushed to an area hospital on Wednesday after a pickup truck driver rear-ended their school bus.
The wreck took place at about 3:15 p.m. after school on State Road 121 just south of Raiford.
Union County Sheriff’s deputies said a pickup truck driver failed to stop at an intersection and rear-ended the bus.

Police are trying to figure out how five South Philadelphia second-graders got their hands on heroin.
A gym teacher at McDaniels Elementary School saw the kids, who ranged in age from 7 to 8, passing around what appeared to be drugs around and called police, MyFOXPhilly.com reported.
The substance later tested positive for heroin.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A minivan swerved across a road and collided with a school bus carrying high school students, sending 10 students and three other people to hospitals, the State Highway Patrol said.
None of the injuries to the students was serious, said a patrol spokesman, Lt. John Altman. All were treated at a hospital and released. Injuries to the two occupants of the minivan were serious, Altman said.
