Another bout of winter weather invaded the Black Hills Friday morning, creating a mess on the highway.
Zero visibility and slick road conditions caused multiple accidents and sent numerous cars in to the ditch. CORPUS CHRISTI – Police believe speed may have played a factor in an accident that sent two people to the hospital Wednesday evening.
Officers said the driver of a truck was speeding when he crashed into a parked car on Dinn Street. The impact of the accident forced the parked car into another while the driver of the truck slammed into another vehicle.

OXNARD, Calif.—Two men floating next to a capsized boat off the Ventura County coast have been taken to a hospital after rescuers found them unresponsive.
Oxnard fire spokeswoman Deborah Shane says rescue crews responded to the scene Tuesday and performed CPR on the men, but they did not immediately respond.
She says they were transported to a hospital but did not know if they survived.

A minicab driver has been sent to a hospital secure unit for an unlimited period for murdering an Asian businessman in south London.
Ahmed Shah, 56, who ran an import-export business, was stabbed to death on the road where he lived in Southall in June, 2007.
He was found collapsed with chilli powder over his face.
Mohammed Habib, 40, from Southall, admitted the killing at the Old Bailey earlier and was sentenced on Friday.

A five month old Okanogan girl, who was not in a car seat, was airlifted to a Seattle Hospital with a head injury following a hit and run collision in Bridgeport Friday evening.

During on offseason weight training session on Wednesday, UCF football player Brandon Davis “required transportation to Florida Hospital East, where he currently remains, under observation,” according to a UCF Athletics release.
Leigh Torbin, a sports information director for UCF, wrote that HIPAA privacy laws do not allow the school to discuss Davis’ medical status.

PITTSBURGH – An Allegheny County judge has ordered a Wilkinsburg woman accused of cutting a newborn child out of a pregnant woman’s womb be sent to a state mental hospital for further treatment.
Andrea Curry-Demus is charged with homicide and kidnapping in connection with the death of 18-year-old Kia Johnson, of McKeesport, and the theft of Johnson’s son, who police said was cut from her body.
