Students Stop School Bus When Driver Suffers Medical Condition

CHARDON, Ohio — Three teenaged boys are being called heroes for taking action when their bus driver suffered a medical emergency while taking them to school.
“I’m at Auburn Road and Bartholomew Road and there’s a school bus driver in front of me either drunk or having a medical emergency,” a driver is heard saying during a call to 911.

Traffic Stop Turns up Sword, Drugs

A Claverack man is under arrest after State Police made somewhat of a bizarre discovery during a traffic stop in Greenport.
They say 33-year-old James Rippy was stopped for an equipment violation.
Inside the car, State Police found a 24-inch cane sword.
Rippy was allegedly impaired by drugs and cops also found three grams of crack cocaine on him.
Rippy was arraigned and is in the Columbia County Jail on $50,000 bail.
