Tenet Healthcare records Q3 profit

Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) today announced that a company
subsidiary plans to close Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center,

Tenet Healthcare to close Irvine Regional Hospital

Airbus, the world’s largest maker of commercial aircraft, received 79% fewer orders in September compared with a year earlier amid a slowdown in demand from airlines.
Customers signed contracts last month for 29 planes, compared with 141 orders a year earlier. Orders from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30 fell 13% to 737 aircraft, Toulouse, France-based Airbus said.

Tenet to sell USC University Hospital for $275 million

Tenet rises after announcing hospital closing

Shares of Tenet Healthcare Corp. edged higher Wednesday after the hospital operator said it will close a hospital in Irvine, Calif., in early 2009.
After the markets closed on Tuesday, the company announced plans to close Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center on Jan. 15, 2009. Tenet is letting its lease on the property expire and was told by owner HCP Inc. that the new lessee does not want an operating hospital on the property.
